Content Layer API

Set up content collections with the new Content Layer API, including glob() / file() loaders and Zod schemas.

Auto-Detection

Automatically activates when working with .astro files or Astro project structure — no manual invocation needed.

Starlight Docs

Full support for scaffolding Starlight documentation sites with sidebar config, i18n, and content structure.

Live Docs Fallback

For edge cases or unfamiliar APIs, fetches live documentation from docs.astro.build using context7 or firecrawl.

Trigger Conditions

Section titled “Trigger Conditions”

The skill auto-activates when:

  • You ask to create a new Astro project or site
  • You’re scaffolding components, pages, layouts, or islands
  • You ask about content collections, view transitions, or islands
  • The working directory contains .astro files or astro.config.*
  • You mention “Astro”, “Starlight”, or “astro components”
